TULIP FESTIVAL AND BLOOMIN TASMANIA

tulip-festival

There’s fuchsias, geraniums, pelargoniums, ornamental trees and rare native coastal grasses and alpine shrubs.   Tasmania is blooming with gardens and nurseries aplenty to visit and enjoy.    One of the greatest assets of Table Cape is its tulip farms surrounding The Winged House and the annual Tulip Festival in October where entire fields explode in colour.   The full program is on www.bloomintulips.com.au. You can also visit the Table Cape Tulip farm, Van Diemen Quality Bulbs,  open all year on Lighthouse Road ( 0364422012 www.vdqbulbs.com.au).  All other open for display  gardens of the north west are listed at www.discovertasmania.com.  Regularly open gardens within easy drive of The Winged House are Allendale Gardens and Rainforest Walks  via Smithton (0364564216) Annsleigh Gardens and Café, Ridley Highway 10 km south of Burnie (03 64357229), Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden (off B18 south of Burnie 03 64330478).
